September is National Su***de Prevention Month.

The numbers around youth mental health remind us that su***de prevention isn’t just about responding to a crisis, it’s about creating spaces where young people feel heard, supported, and connected before they reach that point.

Let’s use this month to learn the warning signs, start the conversations, and remind young people that support is available.

Call or text 988 for the Su***de & Crisis Lifeline.

Back to school means new routines, new expectations, and sometimes a little extra stress.

As the new school year begins, remember to check in with yourself, stay connected, make time to recharge, and ask for help when you need it.
You don’t have to have everything figured out. Take it one day at a time and remember that your mental health matters, too.

Over this past week, two new Emergency Psychiatric Assessment, Treatment, and Healing (EmPATH) units have opened in Connecticut. One in New Haven at Yale New Haven Health, and one in Stamford at Stamford Health. These units are critical for ensuring that children receive the care they need in a timely manner by providing increased access to crisis care. Pictured above, is TCB Tri-chair, Senator Ceci Maher at the Stamford Health Ribbon Cutting on July 23rd.
