recreatively integrates our creative pursuits in the fiber arts with our commitment to be more thoughtful and mindful in our use of resources for living. We “re-purpose” wool blankets and sweaters (some hand-dyed and felted) with four generations of fabric and fiber collections into knitting bags, purses, laptop bags, tablet sleeves, reusable totes, and flower pins and brooches. Each item we produ
ce is ornamented with old buttons, trims, beads or lace from the family’s antique collection. We “re-create” hand dyed silk habotai and merino wool fiber into nuno-felted and hand-felted scarves, cushion covers, purses and clutches that are also embellished from our collection of yarns, beads, lace, silk and wool fibers. We “re-construct” scarves and jewelry from wool and wool-blend designer sweaters that have been unraveled, washed and re-knitted. Our classes offer studio times of guided reflection, meditation, exploration, and creating with the intention (purpose) of personal recreation and well-being.
