Come help celebrate Leif Ericson Day at the Western Launch site of Marsh Creek State Park in Downingtown (800 N Reed Rd) on Sunday, October 12th! The ship will be launched about 11:00am and ceremony will be at 11:30am followed by a sail around the lake.
Just in case you forgot, the Vikings settled on Newfoundland in the year 1000AD, almost 500 years ahead of that Other Guy who thought he “discovered America.”
We’d love to see you there, weather permitting! A little rain is no match for Vikings, but heavy rain or storm means Thor is mad and will force us to cancel.
