Good Morning's Teatime: Connection

Blessed by the fruit that comes from truly listening and hearing another's heart. It makes no difference to always be right when you cease to care about another's perspective. Listen with your heart, it may amaze you! ❀

"Jesus focused more on connection than correction. He knew that when the connection grew strong, so would the desire to do the correct thing."
~ Stephen Arterburn and Jack Felton in More Jesus, Less Religion

Good Morning's Teatime: Front Row Seat Living

Do you have a front row seat to your own life?
Or are you somewhere in the background trying to find your place where you fit best?

Back to the question that intrigues me when I took that picture. I wanted to visually capture the captivating sky.... yet that lone chair beckons me to ponder this question. It is a question deep within my soul and maybe yours also, to take up before our Creator.

Do you have a front row seat to your own life?

You have been created uniquely YOU...
There is only one YOU...

It will never suffice to imitate or copy another when you are meant to be authentically YOU!!!

Nor does it do any good for you to remain invisible or in the background. You have been blessed with gifts to offer those all around you. It is worth noting that a such a soul is extremely brave in one's pursuit of authenticity.

Be You. Move your chair up front. Shine on! πŸ’›

Good Morning's Teatime: Grace πŸ’›β˜•οΈπŸ’›
Amazing grace..
How sweet the sound..
That saved a wretch like me..
I once was lost and now I'm found..
Was blind but now I see..

He was and still is in every memory my very heart. I am thankful in his last months, his expressions of the heavens being opened up to him in preparation of what was to come. I know where he is and someday I will join him. I do not fear eternity as it holds my heart and soul. Amazing grace...

Good Morning's Teatime
! πŸ’›β˜•οΈπŸ’›
"Every single day is different. Some days you wake up and feel strong to face the world, you feel like you can handle everything, and you think you're unstoppable. Other days you just don't want to get out of bed, you feel like you're fragile like a glass and just want to get away from your reality. And that's life. Life consists of both kind of days. Learn to love and support yourself every single day, either good or bad. Learn to accept that life has ups and downs and that is what makes it a wonderful journey."

Good Morning's teatime of mending fences where necessary. πŸ’›β˜•οΈπŸ’›

"If you invite someone into your home and they start breaking things and insulting your decor, you don't have to hate them, but you wouldn't invite them into your home anymore.

Boundaries are doing the same thing, except your home is your mind. Your home is your heart. Your home is your time and your life. Uninvite the guests who don’t know how to treat your home with respect." - Doe Zantamata

'Observe but do not absorb another's behavior.'

If someone's behavior makes you uncomfortable, remove or limit your interaction. This is where healthy boundaries are needed to be put into action.

I have learned that it is way okay to love from a distance. We all go through seasons. Setting boundaries is yet another form of love. There may come a day when the fence can be mended. That is the goal.

We can all do what is best for us in each given season.

Good Morning Invite!
πŸ’›β˜•πŸ’›
What does the word "invite" invoke in your heart?
Does it make you feel wanted, included, loved, accepted?...

An invite to a special occasion or event that you've looked forward to celebrating can be very good indeed. When an invite comes, for the most part, they are meant to be wonderful times of celebration with others. A birthday, a wedding, an anniversary party, or simply being asked out to dinner. Those times with people we care about can be most memorable. We look forward to the occasion with joy and enthusiasm!
Especially now, as I am discovering in my newly widowhood of being much more than I ever imagined. A genuine invitation is absolutely golden to get me out of my memories of times past and into the new life I am now living.

Often, one has to graciously decline such an invitation, albeit due to a variety of circumstances. Nevertheless, it sure does our heart a great deal of good to be thought of and included in times of heart-felt celebration.

Or perhaps an invite may not be desirable if you sense an ulterior motive? Perhaps the very word β€˜invite’ stresses you out when it comes from certain people, possibly making you feel obligated or even fearful in a most uncomfortable way? I can relate, as I'm personally not a fan of being "invited" to parties in which the agenda of the gathering is to purchase something. An invite can be an expectation of something you do not wish to be a part of. Many of us do not want to be inconvenienced by the implications of what an invite may lead to.

On the other hand, invite me to look at your garden, go for a walk or to have coffee, and I am so there! To fully invite or to receive an invitation is a matter of relationship. May we never cease to simply share life with our loved ones. That is an open invite always!

β€œHope and fear can not occupy the same space. Invite one to stay.” ~ Maya Angelou

In this new season I have found myself in, I am greatly enjoying the gift of spontaneous invites...a walk in the park, to go for a drive, meet for dinner tonight or have tea on the beach or on a friend's porch. I am learning to accept invites that are not made with pity but genuine care for who I am. I am learning to invite as well as to have friends is to be a friend. So make a date today with someone who needs your company. We got this!
