Welcome to 🌄 🌄 with . Today, I’m here to share with you what I do and why I do it for you as teachers of adult ESL students.
As someone who has been teaching in some fashion or other since I was 11-years old, I understand the challenges of trying to reach each of your students where they are as individuals while keeping the class on track and motivating for everyone.
When I approach the development of any of my resources, I approach it from several angles so that each resource is a reliable, intelligent source of learning for the student that you, as the teacher, can count on to provide a solid education on the teaching topic. You can also count on the the resource to encourage the student to use their current base of knowledge in conjunction with the strategically built-in clues to discover the answers and to uncover their hidden genius.
This is particularly important with adults because, as they are starting the learning process over, they can often feel embarrassed or frustrated at having to go back to Kindergarten to learn their A,B,Cs. So many of my corporate students have expressed this very frustration in class. To add to that, in a group class you may have managers in with their subordinates. If the staff member is able to excel faster than the manager, this can cause embarrassment as well. By keeping this in mind during the development stage of the resources, I work hard to level the playing field so that everyone experiences success.
My passion and mission in creating and (Ace) Educational Resources, is to show the student how unlock the doors to learning English that have kept them stuck thinking that they can’t learn because they might have struggled in school like I did and assumed that they simply couldn’t learn.
By creating these resources for the students of English, I am also creating resources you, as the ESL teacher can trust to get the job done and to make your life a little easier so that you can put more of yourself into your students.
I do what I do because I don’t want you to struggle with having to find solid, smart resources anymore. I don’t want you to struggle with trying to juggle all the things we teachers juggle to make sure we’re giving our students the best and our best.
