What an amazing and inspiring honor to get to be onstage to hand out diplomas to the West Allis Central Class of 2026 today.
Events like these are so humbling and help me to deeply appreciate the opportunity that I’ve been given to serve our district and see first hand some of the great students that have worked so hard and accomplished so much.
Way to go, class of ‘26!! 🎉

This morning Michelle and I had the opportunity to watch West Allis Central Percussion perform at state for Solo & Ensemble. A spectacular performance by the entire group, as always.

One of the things that I frequently talk about with the other board members is creating engaging pathways to get the community to be informed about what’s going on in their district.
Part of this process, I’ve said, is to make sure that the meeting videos are available, but ALSO that the meetings are engaging, interesting, and informative for casual viewers— we’re doing serious work, but we don’t want it to be too dry or difficult to follow.
This meeting was a fairly short meeting, BUT it included the swearing in of three board members as well as the election of the board officer positions.
I don’t want to spoil it, but… I’ve been elected as Board Clerk.
I’m super excited to expand my role on the board and do even more for the community.
And I’m only one year in!
Thank you, everyone!

West Allis Central National Honor Society Induction tonight. Their largest group of inductees to date, and this time Francesca is Treasurer and Shaylin is Vice President! I am forever impressed with how many fantastically gifted students we’ve got in our district! Way to go, NHS!!

Another spectacular production by WAWM Theater!
So much talent in our district, from the cast to the crew and the amazing pit orchestra— a solid win for everyone involved.
I can’t wait to see the next show!
✈️💼 WE CAUGHT HIM… and what a run it was! 💼✈️
From the first “Jet Set” to the final bow, Catch Me If You Can absolutely took off! Night after night, our cast brought nonstop energy, slick moves, and just the right amount of mischief as Frank Abagnale Jr. stayed one step ahead of the chase.
To our incredible crew and pit: you kept everything running smoother than a perfectly forged check. Every quick change, light cue, set move, and swinging note helped make this show fast-paced, polished, and unforgettable. 🎶✨
And to our audiences—thank you for coming along for the ride! Whether you were clapping along, laughing at the cons, or trying to figure out how he’d escape next, you made each performance electric.
The chase may be over, but this cast and crew definitely didn’t “Break the Rules”—they raised the bar. 😉
Until next time… keep your eyes open. You never know who might be flying under the radar. 🎭✈️

Catch Me If You Can- opening night! Good times with Dexter and Michelle, great ads for some of our favorite local businesses, and top tier stage management by the best (currently) in the (WAWM Theater) business (😉)!

Rather than following the Blue Ribbon Commission on School Funding report’s recommendations, Republicans are doubling down on private school vouchers.

And THAT is how a community shows support for a School Board that works for them.
Well done, WAWM voters. 👍
