Dr. Jeffrey Montoya, DHPE, is a board-certified massage therapist, Reiki Master Teacher, and dedicated healthcare educator. He is the founder and president of the Academy of Health Massage Education, a nonprofit institution in Wisconsin focused on accessible therapeutic training.

A recognized leader in his field, Dr. Montoya is a past president of the AMTA Wisconsin Chapter and was honored as the 2019 AMTA Jerome Perlinski Teacher of the Year. Through his educational academy and private practice, he combines advanced clinical bodywork with holistic energy healing to support both student growth and community wellness.

Meet our new instructor: Dan Russo, PT, CIMT, LMT

Dan began his training at the Swedish Institute of Massage Therapy in New York City, where he earned an Associate’s degree in Massage Therapy. He later received a Master’s degree in Physical Therapy from the University of Wisconsin–Madison and became a Certified Integrated Manual Therapist.

Dan has worked as an orthopedic outpatient physical therapist with Monroe Clinic, Group Health Cooperative of South Central Wisconsin, and UW Health. Over the course of his career he has also served in healthcare management and as a clinical instructor.

Teaching adult students has been a long-standing passion. Dan brings an eclectic approach to bodywork and patient care, drawing from orthopedic manual therapy as well as influences from Traditional Chinese Medicine, Ayurveda, and other energetic modalities. He is deeply committed to compassionate care and creating a thoughtful, supportive experience for every client and patient.
