Kranthz isn’t just a former student — he’s family. His dedication, kindness, and quiet strength left a mark on all of us, especially in the band hall. Now, it’s our turn to show him and his family that they’re not alone in this fight.❤️

👉 The Esparza family is hosting a Chicken Plate Fundraiser, and our student leaders and percussion section are helping sell tickets to ease the burden of medical expenses.

It’s that time of year again! Current 8th-11th graders attending Weslaco East next year, the WEHS Starling Silks Colorguard will be having their mandatory parent meeting for auditions April 23 in the WEHS Band Hall. We hope to see you there!

It’s an honor to announce the Band Student of the Week, junior Montserrat Zuniga. Montserrat is co-Captain of the Starling Silks Colorguard and is HOSA secretary She is also a member of NHS, SNHS, Student Council, Spanish Club and Photography Club. Montserrat plans to attend Texas A&M University and study Dentistry. Keep up the great work, Montserrat!

We celebrate this week’s Band Student of the Week junior Alyssa Cabrera. She is color guard captain of the Wildcat Regiment. Alyssa plans to major in Criminal Justice at Texas A&M University. Way to go, Alyssa!
