On-the-job training (OJT) is a tried and true way to hire and develop for the specific skills a position requires. When Othello Community Hospital needed to grow their Human Resources team to meet the needs of their expanded staff, they partnered with SkillSource to help them hire and train from within.

Jazmin, one of their housekeeping employees, applied for the position and was hired! She has been training alongside HR Director, Mindy, in her new professional role, learning critical skills for employee onboarding, managing benefits, and record-keeping. The impact is evident in the smiles on their faces. On-the-job training is a healthy, cost-saving solution for growing teams and better meeting the needs of the community. What is CRP and why are all these people smiling about it? Because the Community Reinvestment Program is making a big difference across the State of Washington. It's injecting targeted resources that build our communities from within, removing the obstacles that inhibit success, and proving that when we consciously invest in our communities, the return on that investment is resounding.
