Two Jews, three opinions?
Not this time.😮
I surveyed the Songleading For Kiddos Support Squad at our six-month mark. The results were unanimous. 100% feel more confident as a Jewish music educator. 100% save time in planning. 100% say it's worth the investment. This is what happens when educators get more than song lists. They get a system: curriculum units, session plans, teaching guides, developmental framing, and ongoing support. The weekly scramble becomes a 20-minute planning session.

The Purim curriculum unit is now available to Support Squad members. This unit invites children to experience the holiday through music, story, and joyful participation. Through songs about Esther, Vashti, Mordechai, and the four mitzvot of Purim, children explore courage, autonomy, and communal celebration. Inside the unit: 11 curated songs with teaching guides, developmental framing for ages 2-6, session planning support, family connection ideas, and activity suggestions like grogger-making and mishloach manot assembly. Purim is March 2. Members have everything they need to plan with intention. Not a member yet? Join us!

Let me introduce you to my special interest.... :)
Tot Shabbat is one of the earliest and most influential points of contact many families have with Jewish communal life.

This member workshop examines Tot Shabbat as a system. Drawing on my doctoral research across multiple Jewish settings, it looks at what families value, how participation is supported, and how facilitation choices shape meaning and continuity over time.

The session will clear insight into how Tot Shabbat works when it is designed with intention, consistency, and attention to lived experience.

What stands out to me here is the emphasis on structure.

The Support Squad offers educators full frameworks for thinking about songleading rather than isolated ideas or activities. That structure supports consistency, intentional repetition, and deeper learning across time.

The Songleading for Kiddos member group coaching workshops are grounded in intention, research, and lived facilitation experience- and a deep respect for your precious time.
For 2026, the structure and focus of each workshop are being made more explicit than our previously more flexible format. Each session now names its purpose clearly, outlines what educators will gain, and follows a defined learning arc that respects time, attention, and professional trust.

This clarity reflects what members asked for and what the work itself requires: usable insight, thoughtful framing, and space to make sense of practice rather than accumulate more material.

Workshops serve as the sense-making layer of the Support Squad, helping educators understand why certain choices work and how to refine them over time.

I think a lot about how we teach justice to young children.

Justice shows up through practice, through relationships, and through repeated experiences that help children notice one another and take action together.

The Justice curriculum unit inside Songleading for Kiddos uses music as that practice. Children sing songs of justice and hope, move together with rhythm and scarves, and experience what it means to help, stand up, and belong.

This curriculum unit offers educators depth, structure, and Jewish grounding designed for real learning environments.

Songleading for Kiddos is six months old now. 🥳
Buckets of gratitude for the members growing with me,
Old enough to hold its head up. Old enough to show what it is becoming.

Over the past six months, this has grown into a real system: curriculum, planning tools, and a professional home for educators who want their work to feel grounded, effective, and sustainable.

I am building this structure carefully, drawing on years of lived practice, research, and real teaching environments.

My goal for the next six months is to double the membership by continuing to build something sturdy, useful, and worth returning again and again.
