Agora is comprised of passionate members who are representative of various backgrounds, invested in a multitude of interests, dedicated to majors in almost all departments, and willing to serve in their school and greater community. As Wellesley’s Political Society, our pillars are Siblinghood, Citizenship, Politics and Service. Each year we choose a political topic to focus on, then we dedicate o
ne semester to the domestic side of the issue and the other to an international aspect. Each semester we hold at least one political event a service event, and a fundraiser. In addition to our public events, we hold lively political discussions at our meetings that all members, regardless of academic interest, participate in. In addition to our focus on politics and social justice, we place a strong emphasis on Siblinghood. Members participate in social events such as mixers, birthday parties and formal dinners. Members are encouraged to support each other in their academic and extracurricular pursuits.
