Why do we bother to set goals and push ourselves and make sacrifices?

We do it for the freedom, the happiness, the legacy.

I created Hot Healed & Highly Paid on an airplane. I was falling asleep and divine inspiration hit. I knew this was what I needed to do. I needed to guide people back to themselves. Back to their purpose. Breaking all of the barriers we build for ourselves.

Dropping into connection.

Disconnecting from the phone, from the TV, from the to do list, and dropping in to the flow of nature is pure magic. The sounds of the birds and the bugs, the swaying of the trees, the rush of the current. All moving without a care in the world. No concern with the rain that may fall, or the night that will inevitably come. Just being present in the moment. Doing exactly what they are born to do.

How many of us can use that as a reflection? Getting caught thinking about the future or the past. The things we haven’t accomplished or how far we still have to go.

We live so disconnected from the essence of Mother Nature. The cycles of life. The space for nourishment and the space for work.

The Magic of Making Happen we take a look at what’s not in flow and what is in the way. Leaning into our essence, our desire, our magic.

Sometimes the way to learn what you want is to learn what you don’t want.

I taught a Masterclass last week and realized that I am not excited about teaching on the Nervous System as a major topic. The way I spoke lacked passion and clarity. I felt more like a school teacher then a leader, a visionary.

That is my truth in this moment.

What I do love to teach is Manifestation, Goal Setting, Pushing Your Limits, Breaking the Mindset that holds you back!

I realized I was trying to be who I thought I should be. Doing what I saw in the industry instead of doing what felt aligned with WHO I AM.

The September Masterclass is going back to that. We are creating. We are becoming. We are being.

You are all you will ever need to be.

I’m your wholeness. The messy - the put together. The flying high - the reclusive.

The duality of you is the essence of your soul. Without one you will never have the other. Learn to sit with the darkness the way that you love the light. Both are you.

Finding myself has been a journey. One I hope never ends. Learning more, going deeper, feeling more wholely. It’s such a beautiful journey.

Allowing ourselves to be seen in this is the most vulnerable nakedness. Forming the deepest connections. It makes us unshakable.

Have I mentioned my excitement for the masterclass this week?

I used to be the person that was activated the moment someone looked in my direction. I would unconsciously seek relationships that would have me being the Fawnest Fawn there ever was. Oh you want an Xbox, because we disagreed? Great let me do that. Knicks tickets too? Sure thing coming right up.

Those are real things I did in relationships when it did not feel safe to stand up for myself. When all I wanted was for the confrontation to end and I could be loved again. Because I believed I had to atone for disagreeing, or having a boundary.

I know I am not alone here. And at the time I didn’t even know what a nervous system was. I barely even knew hormones existed. And I certainly did not know emotions could get STUCK.

I was the absolute Hostess with the Mostess. And I still can be! Because healing is not perfect. There have also been times where I was ready to throw down if someone looked at me wrong. Because being a smaller person I thought I needed to be tough.

Things can be Hard AND Safe.

We hear Nervous System response referred to as fight or flight. But what about the rest of it?

There are actually 4 named responses and some of them might surprise you.

People 👏🏼 pleasing 👏🏼 is 👏🏼 a nervous 👏🏼 system 👏🏼response

Avoidance is a nervous system response.

These are key markers in the less commonly discussed responses

👤 Freeze (avoid)
🫂 Fawn (people please)

There are parts of us that need to heal to mitigate these responses. Inner child alchemy processes are a great tool to get to the root of the trauma that caused the response.

Coming off the back of a doctors appt turned awareness breakthrough, I found the necessity to come back to my body. I needed to come back to asking myself “what do I need right now?” And utilizing the skills I know I have.

Bringing in very basic moments that can be integrated into my day to stay connected, avoid dissociation, stop trying to “just get through it”. Because that in fact is no quality of life.

Are you addicted

To the hormones released during Nervous System activation.
Too often we don’t even realize our Nervous System is activated, because that is our normal 🤯

Let’s think of some things that get put on hold when your body is telling you there is danger:
Digestion slows down
Cell regeneration
Reproductive Organs
Tissue Repair

Story Time - I went to the doctor today for my quarterly visit and my blood pressure went up the second I walked in. I noticed I wasn’t breathing deeply. I wasn’t thinking clearly. All I could focus on was the minutes passing (slowly). This was because I know the pain I experience during the invasive visits and the anxiety from lack of explanation.
Many of us live in this state every day!
So the moment I sat in the room I came to my breathe and brought my body back to regulation.

These experiences becomes terrible cycles for some. We stay in a state of stress 24/7. And next thing we know our skin is looking dull, our hair is breaking, we are gaining weight.

And it is all because our body doesn’t have the time to do what it should be.

In my next FREE WORKSHOP on August 17 @6:30 PM we are going to talk about how to regulate our Nervous Systems to aid our body’s natural functions.

My most vulnerable share to date. We are all learning we are all growing and most of all we have all been through some s**t.
The journey of change for me has been a rough one. One that I have always been so reluctant to share. Worried about who is going to judge me.

But as I have gotten more comfortable in who I am I realized I don’t care. We have all gone through hard things. We all have Trauma. But what I learned most is the power of having someone to show you the way, and taking people with you.

Not everything goes according to plan.

The magic is who we be in the chaos.

Story time! We went to a sound bowl ceremony downtown today and wouldn’t you know, the sky opens up. Naturally people start grabbing their mats and covering their heads and heading to the car.
Instead of viewing this rain as a problem, I sat on my mat with my eyes closed and let myself flow with the water hitting my skin.
Drop by drop I felt more connected. Cleansing out the sticky space and being one with nature.

Can you remember the last time you let yourself be in the rain? Didn’t try to run and hide from it?
