Parents/Guardians of future band students:

We are getting ready to start a fantastic year in band! To learn more about the band program, we will be having Elementary Band Night next Tuesday, September 1st at 6pm in the middle school band room. We will discuss the band program and membership expectations. This is a great opportunity to ask questions. At this meeting, we will also meet representatives of Robert M. Sides Family Music Center, the district’s music retailer. If it is possible, please attend this meeting even if you do not plan to rent an instrument.

Renting from the music store is similar to a rent-to-own program, where monthly payments are made and at the end of a designated time (usually 2 or 3 years), you own the instrument. The school is not directly involved with these transactions; we just help provide this opportunity to you. Any questions should be directed to Robert M. Sides Family Music Center. I wanted to give you some time to consider these options before the meeting next week. I plan on starting lessons the week after all students have their instruments.

Due to the forecasted rain on Monday, the Memorial Day Parade has been canceled. For those who wish to attend, there will be a ceremony at the Pavilion at 10:00am. Thank you for understanding. Happy Memorial Day, everyone!

Memorial Day Parade
Monday, May 25th
Parade forms at Tweedle Park at 8:30am
Parade starts at 9:00am
Ceremony at Union Cemetery starts around 10am
Marching Band and Color Guard should wear red, white, and blue attire for the parade

In the event of rainy weather, the ceremony is moved to the Eurana Pavilion and only select students would be required to attend.

Spring Concerts! Art Show! Scholastic Book Fair!

Doors open at 6:00pm for the concerts.

Thursday is our Band concert with Elementary, Middle, and High School bands performing.

Friday is our Chorus concert with Elementary, Middle, and High School choruses, plus a number of solo performances!

Our talented musicians and artists are looking forward to sharing their hard work with you this week. Hope to see you there!

We are in need of help with the tables for Candy Grams and Bake Sale items for the upcoming concerts.

We also need donations for the bake sale and some people to supervise students while transitioning on and off the stage.

Only a little over a week left for our shirt sale this year. Get your orders in before the shop closes!

The site for ordering this year's Music Department T Shirt is now Live! This year, there are two types of shirts to choose from: a traditional t shirt and a 3/4 length baseball style shirt. You an access the link below until Saturday, May 9th (the day after our concerts), so please get your orders in by then.

Prices are $15.95 for the regular t shirt and $19.99 for the 3/4 Baseball tee. Shirts will be delivered to the school, and Mr. D will distribute them once they arrive.
