Being a cafeteria worker is not an easy job. It’s hard work. We’re on our feet all day, moving nonstop, and often the work we do goes unnoticed or underappreciated.

Some people may think we “just feed kids,” but there is so much more to it than that.

We prepare and serve meals, follow food safety guidelines, clean and sanitize, manage deliveries and inventory, accommodate special dietary needs, keep everything running on a tight schedule, and still try to greet our students with a smile.

Behind every breakfast and every lunch is a team of hardworking people who truly care about the students they serve. ❤️

We don’t just serve food—we serve our students, our schools, and our community.

To all of our cafeteria and Child Nutrition staff: your hard work matters, and YOU are appreciated! 🦘💙
