Our Twos & Threes have a fun week ahead! This week they’re learning all about God Made Me Special 🩷

They’ll be talking about their eyes, hands and different body parts, learning about families and homes, practicing counting and matching, and of course lots of music, movement and hands-on play.

They’ll also be learning:

English: Eyes & Hands
Spanish: Ojos & Manos
Sign Language: Friend & Love
Character Trait: Respect

Our Bible story this week is God Creates People (Genesis 1:26–27) and our memory verse is:

“I am fearfully and wonderfully made.” Psalm 139:14

Such a sweet week for our little ones to learn that God made each of them special and wonderfully unique!

Parents, ask your little one tonight, “What makes YOU special?” 🤍 We’d love to hear what they say!

Philippians 4:6: “Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition... present your requests to God.”

This year is crazy Leila is going into kindergarten and Ezra into 5th

Today is a hard day at Dino Daycare. 🥹

Today is the last day for most of our kiddos who are leaving us for kindergarten, and this group just hits a little different.

Most of these babies have been here since the beginning. They’ve been in almost every classroom in this center. We’ve changed their diapers, helped potty train them, wiped their tears when they missed Mom and Dad, celebrated all their little milestones, laughed with them, corrected them, loved on them, and hopefully planted some of the little seeds they’ll need to grow into kind, successful humans.

They have given us some of the warmest hugs and the sweetest “I love yous.”

And the hardest part about childcare is knowing that most of these kids probably won’t remember us when they’re grown. They may not remember their classroom, the silly things we laughed about, who comforted them when they were sad, or all the little everyday moments we shared with them.

But we will remember them. 💕

We’ll remember their personalities, their favorite things, the things that made them laugh, the things that made them mad 🤣and how much they grew while they were ours.

And somewhere along the way, it wasn’t just the kids we grew attached to. Some of their parents have become genuinely good friends of mine. We started out as daycare owner and parent, and somehow through all the drop offs, pick ups, conversations, hard days, funny stories and watching our babies grow together, real friendships were made. That’s something I never expected when I opened Dino, but it’s something I’m so thankful for.

These kids and their families have truly been part of the foundation of Dino Daycare. Some of these kiddos have lasted longer than some of our teachers 🤣They’ve been patient with us while we learned and grew. They’ve been here through changes, growing pains, good days, crazy days, and all the ups and downs that come with building a daycare from the ground up.

Every year it’s emotional watching our babies leave us for big kid school, but today feels different.

Maybe it’s because so many of them have been with me since I opened these doors.

Or maybe it’s because this year, my own baby is one of them too. 😭

To our Dino graduates, we love you more than you’ll probably ever realize. Thank you for growing up with us. Thank you to your parents for trusting us with some of the most important years of your lives and for growing right alongside us.

Thank you for helping make Dino Daycare what it is today.

Now go show kindergarten just how amazing our Dino babies are. 🦖🩷

As our teachers head back to school today, I pray You would give them strength, patience, wisdom, and peace. Bless their classrooms with kindness, respect, and a love for learning. Protect them, encourage them on the hard days, and remind them that the work they do makes a lasting difference in the lives of their students.

Thank You for those who have answered the call to teach and care for our children. May this be a wonderful and blessed school year.
