Our page has been a little quiet lately, but we have a pretty sweet reason why!

Our Dino family officially grew by one!!

Everyone meet Madelaine Alma Rose Herrera, our sweet Lainey Rose! She is finally here and we are all completely obsessed with her. So many of our Dino families have been waiting right along with us for this sweet girl to get here, so of course she needed her official introduction!

🍎 This Week in Toddlers! 🍎

This week our toddlers are learning all about APPLES! We’ll be exploring apples through books, songs, art, dramatic play, sensory activities and lots of hands-on learning.

We’ll practice our vocabulary words Apple & Tree, Spanish words Manzana & Árbol, and learn the sign for Apple. Our kiddos will also work on fine motor skills with apple puzzles, discover apples, leaves and seeds, make apple prints and even have some fun apple-themed music and movement!

Our Bible story this week is The Fruit of the Spirit and we’ll be talking about how God helps us grow! Our character trait is Self-Control, which goes right along with our memory verse:

“The fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace…” — Galatians 5:22 🤍

We’re looking forward to another fun week of learning, playing and growing together at Dino Daycare! 🦕🍎

🏡💕 This Weeks theme in Infants: FAMILY! 💕🏡

Our littlest learners spent the week celebrating the people who love them most! 🥰 From recognizing familiar faces to sharing smiles, cuddles, and lots of sweet moments, we learned that family means love, comfort, and togetherness. 👶🏻💗

MEET THE OWNERS!! 🩷

We realized we have so many newer families following our page who may not actually know the family behind Dino Daycare! We’re Vanessa and Eric, owners of Dino Daycare LLC, but more importantly we’re Mom and Dad to Ezra, Leila and one more baby girl coming very soon 🤍 A little backstory on Dino that some people may not know, opening a daycare was actually a dream my mom and I had together. Unfortunately she passed away before we ever got the chance to do it and after losing her I honestly didn’t think I would ever go through with it anymore. Then there was my sweet Eric lol. He reminded me that I COULD do it, believed in me when I didn’t really believe in myself and helped me build Dino into what it is today. So when we say Dino is a family business we really mean it, there’s a whole lot of our family and our hearts behind this place. We wanted Dino to be the kind of childcare center we would want our own kids in, somewhere smaller and more personal where families aren’t just another name on a roster and our teachers actually know your babies. Being parents ourselves we know how hard it is to trust someone else with your kiddos and we never take that responsibility lightly. We are also a Christian based center and our faith is a huge part of Dino. Of course we want our kiddos learning, playing, making friends and getting ready for school, but we also want them growing up knowing they are loved, important and wonderfully made by God. We intentionally keep Dino small with a capacity of just 42 kiddos and honestly we love it that way. We get to really know our families and watch so many of these babies grow up right in front of us, which is probably one of the best parts of what we do. So if you’re new here, hi!! This is the crazy little family behind Dino and we’re so thankful for every family who has trusted us to be a little part of their village. 💕

This is what learning looks like around here

Sometimes it’s a parachute in the classroom, sometimes it’s building an obstacle course outside, and most of the time they don’t even realize how much they’re learning because they’re too busy having FUN!

Taking turns, working together, following directions, problem solving, balance, coordination and of course lots of laughs.

We truly believe little ones learn best when they’re able to PLAY, explore and just be kids. These are the kind of daycare days we love the most at Dino Daycare

This week our Pre-K kiddos are learning all about My Family! We’ll be talking about our families, our homes and all the people we love!

We’re working on the letter H, number 8, heart shape, color red and the sight word “my.” We’ll also be learning family and home in English, familia and casa in Spanish, and family and love in ASL!

Our Bible story this week is Jesus Welcomes the Children and we’ll be talking about how Jesus loves children and families. ❤️

Between crafts, stories, small groups and lots of play, they’re learning without even realizing how much they’re learning! We love being able to make learning fun while also helping our kiddos build the skills they’ll need for kindergarten.
