My students at Junaluska have worked so incredibly hard this year. While our time in person together was cut short this year we still managed to create some amazing artwork together in the time that we had. This is such an awesome group of children and artists. I have enjoyed my time with them and admire their creativity and joy for life. Here is a digital art show I created that is a selection of some of the fantast masterpieces they created this year. These collages make my heart soar! My 3rd graders learned about the great artist and illustrator Charley Harper known for his realistic minimal style prints of wildlife. He did many images of cardinals which is what we chose to do since it is our state bird! These 3rd graders rocked they college versions of his style birds and each kid added their own unique spin on their North Carolina winter forest scene.
