When asked what motivated her to become an entrepreneur, Ms. Reed shared:

“I decided to just jump out on faith and give it a shot, and I’m so glad I did. Once I started, I realized how much I truly enjoyed it—not only taking the pictures, but being able to see people’s genuine reactions when they see their photos for the first time.”

Chi Gamma Omega celebrates Ms. Reed’s entrepreneurial spirit and wishes her continued success as a photographer. Continue to dream big, step out on faith, and capture every moment! 💕💚

Meet Our New Assistant Principal!

It is with great excitement that we welcome Mrs. Tracina Willis to the Oakleaf Junior High School family as our new Assistant Principal!

Mrs. Willis brings more than 11 years of educational experience and a deep passion for student achievement, educator development, and fostering a positive school culture. Throughout her career, she has served as a classroom teacher, instructional coach, mentor, department head, team leader, and educational leader dedicated to helping students and staff reach their highest potential.

Mrs. Willis holds both a Bachelor’s Degree and a Master’s Degree from Purdue University Global and earned her Educational Leadership Certification from the American College of Education. Her leadership experience includes serving as a member of the Superintendent’s Advisory Council, facilitating the OneClay Leadership Academy, and contributing to the PBIS Leadership Team, School Advisory Council, Placement Review Committee, and Instructional Applications Program. She has also served as a Florida Purple Star Teacher Leader and Clinical Educator Trainer. In recognition of her commitment to excellence, she was named Discovery Oaks Elementary School Teacher of the Year for 2022–2023 and Duval Charter Teacher of the Year for 2017-2018.

Most recently, Mrs. Willis served as an Assistant Principal with Duval County Public Schools, where she focused on building strong relationships, supporting teacher growth, promoting student success, and cultivating a positive and inclusive school environment.

Mrs. Willis is excited to bring her experience, passion, and commitment to the Oakleaf Junior High community. As an educational leader, her mission is to support the academic, social, and emotional growth of every student by fostering strong relationships, effective communication, and a culture of collaboration and inclusivity. She believes that strong partnerships among students, families, staff, and the community are essential to creating a learning environment where everyone feels valued, supported, and empowered to succeed.

Our anniversary celebration was a beautiful afternoon filled with cherished memories, heartfelt reflections, laughter, and the enduring bond of sisterhood. We celebrated the incredible women whose leadership has helped shape our legacy.

A special thank you to Anniversary Committee Chairman, Mrs. Danielle Brown, for planning such a beautiful and memorable celebration.

Chi Gamma Omega remains committed to serving our communities, strengthening our sisterhood, and continuing the legacy of service that defines Chi Gamma Omega.

Today we celebrate and honor the fathers, grandfathers, stepfathers, mentors, and father figures whose love, wisdom, strength, and guidance help shape our families and communities. Thank you for the sacrifices you make, the lessons you teach, and the support you provide each day. Your leadership and dedication leave lasting impacts across generations. Wishing all fathers and father figures a joyful, love-filled, and well-deserved Father’s Day!

Today, we honor Juneteenth, a celebration of freedom, resilience, culture, and the enduring strength of the Black community. As women committed to sisterhood, service, scholarship, and leadership, we recognize the importance of remembering our history while continuing the work toward equity and justice for future generations. May this day inspire reflection, education, unity, and joy as we celebrate Black excellence and the legacy of those who paved the way. Happy Juneteenth!
