Monthly Celebration! Our May monthly celebration is extra time in the inflatables that we have for our field day today. 37 students earned the celebration this month!

Fishing Trip!

In this World Studies unit, the students learned about Africa. When England colonized South Africa, they brought indentured servants from India to work in the sugar cane fields. This led to Indian food integrating into African food. Bunny Chow is an Indian food, but was served with a bread bowl because of segregation during apartheid. Restaurants would serve bunny chow and sell it through windows in bread bowls for people who were not allowed in restaurants.

This was a great way to wrap up Every Healthy Kid Week.

Every Healthy Kid Week! Earth Day was on Monday. Students picked up around the Lied Center.

Work Experience Coordinator, Danielle Seehusen, brought in VR Googles for career exploration in Mr. Frenna’s homeroom.

The last day of school for students has been moved to Wednesday, May 29. We will follow the "special dismissal schedule" (as indicated on the school calendar) on that day.

Students in Ms. Myers’s Class completed a Fossil Impression Play-doh Lab in Science today.

Students in Mrs. Hathaway-Frerichs’ Psychology Class went on a scavenger hunt today to look for Gestalt Principles of Perception.

Lied Center Staff members participated in team building activities this afternoon before moving into sub-committees, which focused on school store, monthly celebration, and student action planning.

We had our January Monthly Celebration today. Dr. Bechtel from Wartburg College came to share some turtles, frogs, snakes, and cockroaches with students.
