Students in Ms. Schmidt's Life Skills class prepared a delicious meal to show appreciation for teachers and paras. As part of a unit dedicated to hosting and etiquette, students were tasked with designing & delivering invitations, planning a menu, and preparing food for 50 people. Additionally, students were assessed on setting a formal table, proper dining manners, and having appropriate table conversations. They did awesome and returned the following week to many messages of praise and gratitude. Students had a lot of fun too.

Happy Administrative Professionals Day, Megan!
Phones are ringing, students at the door,
Megan’s got it handled and then some more!
Schedules, attendance, keeping us on track,
If something goes missing, she’s got our back!
Band-Aids, passes, a calm, steady way,
Helping our school run smooth every day.
If we had to do it we’d totally be stuck…
Good thing we’ve got Megan, our rockstar, good luck!

Today, students in Mr. Hart’s class saw our groundskeeper hauling a large tree branch on his Gator and immediately jumped into action! They asked Mrs. Williams if they could spend PE helping clean up branches from the windstorm instead of playing a game. Their reason? They wanted to help our school community. Proud moment!

Happy Paraprofessional Appreciation Day!
Let’s be honest… we’d be lost without our paras!
They manage it all! Supporting students, problem-solving on the fly, keeping things moving, and making tough days better with a little humor.
Today we celebrated YOU with breakfast (because coffee and food are the least we can do!
We appreciate you more than you know!

Day 3 of our Elementary Winter Olympics was a HUGE success!
Students competed in a biathlon, practicing target throwing from both the prone and standing positions, then “skied” laps around the gym on our famous mop skis. They also battled it out in table ice hockey like true Olympians!
The energy, teamwork, and laughter filled the gym today. Every athlete gave it their best effort and had an absolute blast. We are loving our Olympic unit!
