It's hard to put into words how thankful I am for our dedicated babysitters who made this work possible the last 4 years.
Thank you to Kinsey White, who has been with us since Warren was 6 months old, and with Thea since she was 3 months old. It is hard to even imagine someone more dependable and trustworthy than her. She loves our kids so well and always has! She has managed all the fun stuff - bringing her own sensory bins, crafts, toys, etc. There was a time where she would come into the house and Warren's first question would be "What did you bring today?" 😅 I tried to ask him to say "Hi Kinsey, how are you?" but it mostly turned into a rapidfire "Hi Kinsey. How are you? What did you bring today?" 😂 Kinsey would also take the kids to many surrounding parks any chance that she got, and she always had fun ideas to fill their time together. Over the years, she managed all of the tricky stuff - the baby stage, the uncoordinated waddling toddler stage, the potty training stage (I should've given her a bonus for this, honestly), the defiant toddler stage, the brand new sibling stage, the loud toddler while the baby needs to nap phase, and now the sibling battle stage - and everything in-between! She has been SO good to us, and we are so thankful for her.
Thank you also to Madilyn Benda who just started with us this January. I was amazed at how calm and confident Madilyn was right from the start. She was able to jump right into every aspect - the sibling rivalries, the dinner prep, the overexcitable dog, and knew just how to handle it all. She is reliable and fun, and we are sad that we don't get to spend more time with her!
Waukon people, we'd love to have your babysitter recommendations sent our way! We are looking for someone who is of course dependable, trustworthy, and fun. Specifically, we are looking for someone with availability from 3:30-5:30 on weekdays, preferably for fall, winter, and spring. If needed, we are willing to have different people on different days and for each season to accommodate sports/activities schedules. This is a consistent and well-paying gig for the right person!
