We are so excited about sharing the progress on the Six Nations Schoolhouse π«
We let it be known we we're starting to paint the morning of Monday 10/6
Our guys came and we're suprised by Ray Ullrich and his guys Jay, Don and Joe that came to help and brought scaffolding to keep everyone safe. It was a blessing not painting in a tractor bucket on the peak, as planned π
All stayed until late afternoon, Bert brought the guys a lunch and I came later and got some pictures π· They got it all painted Monday and started a second coat on some areas. Yesterday, Sunday, 10/13 the Ullrich crew returned, as promised, I'm not sure who all came as we couldn't make it but, they finished the second coat π₯³ππ»The schoolhouse looks beautiful, and we are so thankful for their hard work.
We still have windows to scrape the sign to freshen up and put back π«
We also have plans to make new curtains, then we are all finished with this newest round of repairs & updates to keep this beautiful historic landmark still going π₯³ππ»
We are thrilled that it was painted within a week. So, thankful for everyone that helped make it happen, from our old Six Nations Schoolhouse friends and some new ones. For those that worked and gave time, to those that show up every year for our annual meeting & picnic and donated.
We did it again! Thank you! God bless you all. Billy, Bob, Larry, Bernie, Mark, Ed, Ray, Jay, Joe, Don & Bert.
This year 2025 marked our 104th Annual meeting & picnic.
The next one will be held July 25th 2026 at noon.
