We extend our deepest sympathies to the family of Emily Fournier. Emily passed away yesterday after a white water rafting accident. Emily was a light of caring concern for others. She was a lightning rod of encouragement, creativity, and inclusivity through the Recycled Shakespeare Company. Emily was an active participant, contributor, and supporter of PechaKucha, Cirque du Geek, and many other community events. Emily was someone who truly empowered people and strengthened community. She will be profoundly missed. Our hearts and love are with her mother Lyn Rowden and her entire family as they face this most unfathomable loss of dear Emily Fournier.

It is with heavy hearts that we have decided to cancel our May 8th PechaKucha Night event, as it was scheduled amid the COVID-19 pandemic. While this news does bring sadness to our group, we want to keep our community safe. We are optimistic that this extra time will draw in even more wonderful proposals and bring joy at our next event. The next upcoming PK WTVL will take place on July 9 (location TBD). We’re always looking for proposals and will continue to take them on a rolling basis. The deadline to be considered for the July event is June 9th.

Due to the inclement weather, PechaKucha Night Waterville V.34 will be postponed until Saturday, February 8 at Colby College. The reception will begin at 6:20pm and presentations will follow promptly at 7:20pm.

We are only a few nights away from PK WTVL V.34!! Today's PechaKucha Night Waterville V.34 featured presenter is Elaine Theriault-Currier. Elaine will be presenting Meet the Millennials Growing Mid-Maine.

Today's PechaKucha Night Waterville V.34 featured presenter is Serena Sanborn. Serena will share her story about The Joys (and trials and tribulations) of Sculpting Snow.

Fun fact: Serena went to the U.S. Nationals for Snow Sculpting when it was 55 degrees below zero.
