We had such a fabulous time at this year's Mat Su Valley Fiber Festival! Thanks so much to our hosts, to all our friends, our customers, CMS, local LEOs and the Feds for helping out during our brief intermission, and all the vendors, guilds and teachers, the rabbit folks and those with fiber animals and all the countless others who made this event one of our very best!

Super excited to see this developing. I bought most of the yarns at the Mat Su Fiber Festival last July. The mohair yarns are from White Fireweed Farm and Born Fuzzy Boutique. The variegated and yellow are from Knit 3 Together, and the white is Angora that I spun myself, while sitting at a rabbit show.

This year has a bonus black and white design for the Mat Su Valley Fiber Festival!

This is the corner of a hand sewn sail made in the 1800s. The craftsmanship and quality of the work is amazing. This is a lost art. The canvas sails were made of h**p along with clothing, ropes, and the caulking used to fill gaps between planks among other things. H**p is 3 times stronger than jute and was preferred because it was unaffected by salt water. The work done by sail makers was demanding and left no room for error as their sails would be what brings fishermen home safely. 🙂

Super excited to be packing up to go and do an event! First event in a year, and I can't wait to see all my fiber friends!
