📚✨ It’s Adult Education & Family Literacy Week

Today, TNS flooded Capitol Hill to advocate for adult learners!

Alongside Naftae, we joined adult education advocates to make our voices heard. We attended a Legislative Briefing on Workforce and heard from Richard Sandoval and Erin Vobornik on the opportunities it creates for our communities.

🏛️ We also met with Shira Griffith, Legislative Assistant for Congresswoman Eleanor Holmes Norton, to advocate for continued funding for Adult Education State Grants. We were happy to learn that is cosponsoring the Adult Education WORKS Act!

At TNS, we see every day the impact adult education can have on students, families, and communities. We’re proud to advocate for the resources and opportunities our adult learners deserve. 📣

📚✨ Es la Semana de la Educación para Adultos y la Alfabetización Familiar

¡Hoy, TNS se hizo presente en el Capitolio para defender los intereses de los estudiantes adultos!

Junto a naftae_org, nos unimos a defensores de la educación para adultos para alzar nuestras voces. Asistimos a una sesión informativa legislativa sobre fuerza laboral y escuchamos a Richard Sandoval y Erin Vobornik hablar sobre las oportunidades que esto genera para nuestras comunidades.

At The Next Step Public Charter School, we know earning a GED is more than passing a test. It’s a step toward new opportunities, bigger goals, and a brighter future. 🌟

Last school year, 94% of TNS students who took the GED passed! 👏

We’re proud of every student who keeps showing up, puts in the work, and takes the next step toward their goals. 💪🎓
