When Kennedy arrived in Washington, DC as a rising junior from Southern University, we welcomed her and other students from the Yard who were pursuing internship opportunities. At the time, it was simply about supporting a fellow Jaguar. What you often don’t realize is that those moments matter. You never know how a conversation, a piece of advice, or a helping hand can impact someone’s future. That’s why I believe so strongly in Recruitment, Retention, and Readiness—because investing in students today creates alumni leaders tomorrow.

We are in the final days for voting for your next leaders of the federation. Before you cast your vote, ask yourself, who do you trust to get the job done?

For far too long, chapters across this Federation have been forced to operate on an island—without consistent communication, strategic guidance, or meaningful support from the federation. That is not sustainable, and it is not how a strong Federation operates. We are the extension of the university, no single point of contact which leads to a single point of failure. We are one!

Day one as the 3rd Vice President

* Re-establish monthly calls with Chapter 3rd Vice Presidents to improve communication, collaboration, and organizational alignment to include Student Engagement and Recruitment meetings to support those doing the frontline work of bringing students to Southern University will happen on Day One!

Leadership and diverse work experience matters

I have led at every level—from the battlefield, to the Pentagon, to workforce planning and talent management. I understand leadership beyond titles and visibility. I understand ex*****on. That is why I know I am the most qualified candidate to help move the role of 3rd VP and our students forward.

From Washington, DC, I didn’t just represent Southern University—I produced outcomes:

✔️ 22+ recruitment fairs connecting students to the Yard

✔️ $32K+ in scholarships invested back into our future Jaguars

✔️ 28 first-time students enrolled

✔️ Fundraising leadership that delivered real support

✔️ Built programs like DMV JAGS to strengthen student engagement
