What a DAY! 🥹💛

Our Northstar Open House was everything we hoped it would be — families coming together, kiddos playing, creating, bouncing, eating snow cones, and getting to spend time with the teachers who make our center what it is every single day. 🌟

One of our biggest goals this year has been becoming more connected to the community around us, and seeing everyone together this weekend made us so proud of what we’re building.

We loved welcoming new faces into our center, introducing families to our teachers and community partners, and getting the chance to show people what being part of Northstar is really about.

And we’re SO excited that some of the families who came to meet us will now be joining our Northstar family! 🥹💛

Thank you to our amazing staff for putting so much love into this day, to our community partners for showing up for our families, and to everyone who came out and spent their Saturday with us.

Our community is growing, and we couldn’t be more excited. 🌟💛

Today we say goodbye to someone who has been such a huge part of our Northstar family for the past 5 years — our amazing Teanna. ❤️

Five years of laughter, tears, joy, growth, and plenty of challenges along the way. Through so many different seasons, Teanna has been a constant part of our everyday, and we are incredibly grateful for everything she has poured into our children, families, and team.

While it’s hard to see this chapter come to an end, we are so proud of you, Teanna, for taking this next step and beginning a new journey. Thank you for the memories, the hard work, and the heart you’ve given us over these last five years.

We wish you nothing but happiness and success in this new direction. You will always be an important part of our story. ❤️

Last week we said goodbye to our friend, River, and we already miss seeing his sweet smile around the center.

We first met River when he was just 2 years old, and it’s been such a privilege to watch him grow over the years. From his early preschool days to all the fun memories made during summer camp, he has left a special mark on all of us.

Thank you to River’s family for trusting us with such an important part of his childhood. Watching children grow, learn, laugh, and become who they are is one of the greatest gifts of what we do.

River, we are so proud of you and can’t wait to see all the amazing things your future holds. You’ll always have a place in our Northstar family. ❤️

✨ Meet our very first Kid Spotlight… Anasyn! 💜

For the past 4 years, Anasyn has been part of our Northstar family, and what an incredible joy it has been to watch her grow.

She is one of those children who naturally makes our program a brighter place. You can almost always find her creating something, drawing, caring for babies and animals in dramatic play, or turning the simplest toys into the biggest adventures. Her imagination is endless, and she has a special way of bringing others right along with her.

One of our favorite things about Anasyn is her kind heart. She’s always ready to lend a helping hand, include a friend, and step into a leadership role without even realizing she’s doing it. The younger children look up to her, and her teachers know they can always count on her to set a positive example.

One of the greatest privileges of what we do is getting to watch children grow—not just in height, but in confidence, kindness, creativity, and character. Anasyn is a beautiful example of all of those things, and we couldn’t be prouder of the amazing young lady she is becoming.

Anasyn, thank you for sharing your creativity, your kindness, and your wonderful personality with us every day. We are so grateful to have been part of your journey these past four years, and we can’t wait to cheer you on as you continue to grow.

A huge thank you to Caress from Rhythm Dance Company for spending the morning with our campers and sharing the joy of dance! 💃🕺

Our children had so much fun learning new moves, building confidence, staying active, and most importantly… having a blast together! We love creating opportunities that introduce our campers to new experiences and talents within our community.

Some goodbyes are harder than others. 💛

Thank you for trusting us with your beautiful family and allowing us to be a small part of your journey. Watching your children grow, create, laugh, and build friendships has been such a gift.

While we’re incredibly sad to see you go, we’re so grateful for the memories we’ve shared and the friendships we’ve made along the way.
