The Ubuntu Basketball Academy (UBA) is a revolutionary institution geared towards holistically developing girls and boys, not only in the game of basketball, but also in life. UBA is founded upon the principle know as “Ubuntu”, a Zulu word that means togetherness----‘I am, because you are’. Founders, Solomon Comissiong and Preston Blue started UBA in an effort to comprehensively develop girls (you

ng and older) within the great sport of basketball. UBA basketball clinics and workouts focus on all facets of skills development, including game-play and position mastery. UBA also offers opportunities for players to tryout for AAU and travel teams. Coach Solomon and Coach Blue have over two decades of youth basketball coaching experience. UBA also provides players with holistic development in areas such as cultural edification, academic tutoring and mentoring. Student-athletes will routinely be exposed to college visits, as well as academic & cultural workshops.
