The GW Biotech Club aims to bring students interested in Biotechnology together and expose them to this growing field through speakers and other events!

The purpose of the GW Biotech Club is to engage students to the field of biotechnology through selective speaker series, site visits, and other programming; to create meaningful exposure experiences for students to engage and learn from companies in the industry; to introduce students to new technology and research that are pertinent and novel.

GWBiotech is looking for FOUR bright and reliable students to join our E-Board.

Positions:
Co-Chair of Programming: As a Co-Chair of Programming, you will work with our E-board to organize events, work on events logistics, venue planning and support the rest of the E-board members.

Director of Marketing and Social Media: As a director, you will design flyers, newsletters, manage all social media accounts, and OrgSync.

Director of Internal Affairs: report meeting minutes to the entire E-Board, properly respond to GWU Biotech Club emails in a timely manner or to forward them to the appropriate E-Board member, record attendance of members; and to support the Director of Marketing and other E-board members

Treasurer: Treasurer is in charge if all monetary responsibilities. This includes fundraising, budgeting, and monitoring the organization's account.

GMO Panel: Engineering The Future 05/07/2016

Our biggest event of the year hosted GMO experts from MONSANTO, SYNGENTA, USDA and AAAS. These speakers presented the facts on the science behind GMOs, the research put into developing them, and the regulatory laws put in place to protect the public, followed by a Q&A session for the audience.
