Teddy Lee ‘25 tied in his race. To decide a winner, he squared off against his competition from Bishop O’Connell in a 1 vs. 1 swim off. Then, the impossible happened: They tied again.

The result? A tie-breaking Rock, Paper, Scissors showdown that Teddy won to advance.

Congratulations to our aquatic Dogs on a strong 5th place finish out of 22 teams at the Washington Metropolitan Prep School Swim and Dive League meet.

National Merit Honors Announced 09/19/2023

Congratulations to our 20 National Merit Honors recipients!

The program recognizes students based on their outstanding performance on the Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test (PSAT/NMSQT).

St. Albans had five students named semifinalists — which means they scored in the top 1% in the country on the exam. The semifinalists may now continue in the finalist competition for some 7,250 National Merit Scholarships, to be offered in the spring.

Commended Students scored in the top 2-3% of test-takers nationwide — and St. Albans had 15 students earn this honor.
