My dad has been my best friend since I was a teenager and even though we don’t see each other often (these pics with my dad are from Jan. 2019), we can always pick up our conversations like no time has passed.
I hope my kids feel about me the way I’ve felt about my dad all these years. Of all my jobs, being their dad is the best. @ Crofton, Maryland

Day 1 of year 2 of Counselor Education intensives is in the books. It was great to see so many familiar faces in my classes as well as meet those I haven’t interacted with much online.
If today is any indication of how the week will go, it will be rewarding and exhausting.

I was supposed to be traveling to Colorado tomorrow for my week-long intensive for my school counseling degree but due to the fact that COVID-19 is still a very serious threat right now, this week has moved online. My program Counselor Education is an amazing one though and they sent each student a box with the goodies we would’ve received at check-in.
I know this week won’t be the same and it will be hard not spending time with the people I’ve been laboring through this program with but I’ve grown so much as a counselor and as a person that I’m grateful I decided to make the difficult decision to go back to school. There is so much pain in the world right now that anyone who feels a desire to heal it is needed.
With this video I guess I’m officially on Instagram. I’m going to use this account to talk more about coaching and why it’s so important to me but for starters, I’ll settle for sharing why my clients are the best.
