From cultural activities to making memories with local roommates (including a takoyaki-making party 🐙), Lin Han Lu's experience has been packed at !

Reflecting on a recent shodō (Japanese calligraphy) workshop, she shared:

"Rather than simply memorizing stroke order, we focused on carefully forming each character with a brush and ink, paying attention to balance, precision, and technique. It gave me a deeper appreciation for the artistry involved in writing Japanese and helped reinforce the kanji we had been studying in class."

One of the most distinctive aspects of CET Film Production at is the opportunity to create a narrative film using 16mm or 35mm film—a format that few undergraduate students have the chance to work with today 🎥✨

Students spend the semester collaborating in small groups and building skills in directing, screenwriting, and editing while learning from professional filmmakers. Then, they put it all into practice during the production phase, creating an original film of their own.

By the end of the program, students leave with a completed film for their portfolio—an accomplishment that has helped some alumni pursue film festivals, internships, and other opportunities in the industry.

By the time they leave Prague, they won't just have studied film—they'll have made one!
