Human languages are comprised of phonology, morphology, syntax, and pragmatics. Phonology refers to the different sounds or handshapes that can be produced and combined in the language. Morphology tells us how those sounds or handshapes can be combined to form words. Syntax is the grammar of the language, or the rules that tell us how those words can be ordered. Semantics refers to the meaning we understand of words and sentences. Pragmatics involves the social aspect of language and how we can use the language to share information in a community. #Languages
