Our very own Isobel Araujo designed an awesome mobile game that let us explore the connections between history, community and play. We had a great time trying it out in Columbia Heights as journalists searching for clues to uncover what happened in the neighborhood after the assassination of Martin Luther King in 1968.
Last week, students made ‘mind maps’ reflecting on DC's recent demographic changes. They followed it up with a thoughtful and engaging discussion on the changes they see in their neighborhoods and who should have a say in development decisions that affect their communities!

A day in the life of a college student! We took a tour of American University's campus, so our students could learn about the various programs, services and facilities available at AU. We even got to peak into the dorms thanks to Fernando Rocha, a freshman in The Frederick Douglass Distinguished Scholars Program!
