From a friend of a friend, looking to interview lawyers:

As some of you know, I write magazine and web site articles of interest to lawyers. I have just been assigned a short piece for the District of Columbia bar's website on how the (partial) government shutdown is affecting lawyers. If you are furloughed or otherwise affected by the shutdown and are willing to be interviewed on the record, please message me! The questions will be about how you are coping, how your family is coping, and how you are being affected financially. The piece is pretty straightforward and is intended simply to raise awareness among lawyers. Thank you!
