More than just matches 🎾

The UWG Showcade in Klagenfurt was all about connecting face-to-face with US college coaches, gaining real recruiting insights, and building relationships off the court

From interactive Q&A panels and 1-on-1 sit downs to padel battles, co****le under the sun, and celebrating our medalists — the atmosphere was unmatched ☀️🏆

Few students think about what comes after their undergrad degree. These two did. 🎓💼

What an outstanding performance by Smarthlete alumni and recent university graduates and .stoiberer.

Maintaining an elite GPA over the course of an entire college degree while competing at the highest level is nothing short of impressive. In the NCAA, academic excellence may translate directly into financial backing to fund a student's graduate degree —and these guys just proved it.

Huge congratulations to Niklas and Richie, two of this year’s prestigious NCAA Postgraduate Scholarship recipients. 💸🏆

We couldn’t be prouder. They are the definition of true STUDENT-ATHLETES and a testament to what you can achieve when you master the game both in the classroom and on the field.

🚨 HISTORIC NCAA RULE CHANGE: The ”5 for 5” Era is Here! 🚨

Big news for future college athletes! The NCAA is completely overhauling its eligibility rules for Division I sports, and it’s a total game-changer.

Here is everything you need to know about the shift from the traditional ”5-year clock” to the brand-new 5 full seasons of competition model:

📊 The Key Changes Breakdown:
5 Years vs. 4 Years: You now get a maximum of 5 full seasons of competition, expanding on the current 4-season limit.

The 19th Birthday Rule: Your 5-year eligibility window starts the academic year immediately following your 19th birthday OR your initial college enrollment.

Goodbye, Redshirting: Traditional redshirts and medical/hardship waivers are completely eliminated in favor of these simpler, blanket rules.

Timeline: This applies only to NCAA D-I sports and will officially take effect in Fall 2027.

💡 What this means for YOUR Recruiting Journey:
🎓 Bachelor & Master: You can now play varsity sports for your entire university journey—combining undergrad and graduate studies smoothly.

⏳ Gap Years: Delaying enrollment just became less attractive. Your exact birthday and the September 1 cut-off matter more than ever.

🌍 International Students: Different academic tracks and graduation timelines mean you must be incredibly proactive. Early planning is a must!

⚠️ Don’t leave your athletic future to chance. Eligibility rules are complex, and a single misstep can impact your timeline.
