Today we honor the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., whose leadership in the pursuit of justice and equality continues to influence Black liberation movements across the world. His impact extended far beyond the United States and helped shape freedom efforts across Africa, including the anti-apartheid movement in South Africa.

During our recent service trip with New York University, we were reminded of how deeply his ideas continue to inform global conversations around dignity, identity, and self determination. At Hilltop, we remain committed to shaping the African narrative through education, exchange, and service, guided by the values of courage, purpose, and compassion that defined his life.
