Welcome to all of our new members! We're excited to have you join us in growing and building our practices.

As you get the lay of the lad, we wanted to share a quick note about how we currently communicate with members. We have a Google group called the AAPPSPA Interact. This is our listserv that acts as a forum/message board. We announce meetings, share information, and post resources within this Google group. This is also where our members discuss business topics in a safe and welcoming environment.

Several of our new members have found us through the 92507 code change process and are interested in viewing our recorded presentation on the topic. You can find the link in the Google group/listserv under the topic title "Coding Discussion." Email us at [email protected] if you have not yet been given access to the listserv!

AAPPSPA Members--the 92507 conversation continues.

Thank you to everyone who has already watched our recent training video and reached out requesting the session form. We are excited to see practices beginning to engage in these important conversations and prepare their teams for the future of our profession.

The sample session form has now been shared with members and is intended to help clinicians:
• Begin familiarizing themselves with the proposed codes
• Explore documentation workflows
• Increase awareness and preparedness
• Start meaningful discussions within their practices

We encourage you to review the information with your teams now and begin thinking critically about implementation, workflow, reimbursement, and clinical documentation considerations.

One of the strengths of AAPPSPA is our ability to come together as a community to learn, collaborate, advocate, and prepare for change together. More trainings, roundtables, handouts, and member-exclusive resources are on the way.

Thank you for continuing to engage, ask questions, and advocate for private practice and the future of our profession.

EDIT: The link to the recorded training is available in our listserv. This is a Google group that acts as a forum/message board. Look for the topic titled "Coding Discussion" to find the link.

A heartfelt thank-you to every AAPPSPA member who joined us for our recent event on CPT 92507 and the proposed 2027 changes.

Your questions, insights, and engagement made it a powerful conversation and a reminder of how much stronger our community is when we navigate these shifts together.

Couldn’t make it live? We’ve got you. The full session was recorded and is now available exclusively in the AAPPSPA Member Portal.

Private practice isn’t just clinical care…it’s business, compliance, staffing, systems, and decisions that don’t show up in grad school.

So we’re saying it directly:
If your practice only works when you’re treating… it’s time to take a step back.

This is why we’re launching The No-Show Chronicles—a bi-monthly leadership brief to AAPPSPA members only focused on what actually keeps practices running:

• Business strategy that holds up
• Compliance that won’t get you flagged
• Operational systems that make sense
• Real conversations about sustainability

Whether you’re a solo provider or leading a multidisciplinary team, this is built for you.

Look for Vol. 1 Sunday.

Take the step back. Reassess. Adjust.

AAPPSPA is here to support what happens outside the treatment room because that’s what keeps you in it.

As we wrap up another incredible AAPPSPA conference, we want to wish everyone safe travels home and thank each of you for being part of such a meaningful and inspiring event.

A special congratulations and heartfelt thank you to Heather Scheer, Susan Arnold, Crystal Reszczynski and everyone involved in planning and organizing this year’s conference. Your dedication, leadership, and countless hours of work created an exceptional experience for our members and community.

Over the past three days, we experienced outstanding community engagement, meaningful conversations, high-quality educational content, insightful member panels, and invaluable networking opportunities. One of the greatest strengths of AAPPSPA continues to be the willingness of professionals to come together, share knowledge, support one another, and collaborate to strengthen private practice and our profession as a whole.

This conference may be ending, but the conversations and collaboration will continue. We are excited for the upcoming member roundtables, advocacy discussions, trainings, networking opportunities, and exclusive member content that will continue throughout the year.

Thank you again to everyone who attended, presented, volunteered, sponsored, and supported AAPPSPA. We are grateful for this incredible community and already looking forward to seeing everyone next year in St. Louis!

I am truly honored and excited to introduce myself as the new President of AAPPSPA. As a private practice owner, clinician, educator, and advocate, I understand both the rewards and the challenges that come with owning and operating a practice in today’s changing healthcare environment. I am incredibly grateful for the opportunity to serve this community and continue the important work of supporting private practice professionals across our field.
AAPPSPA is more than an organization focused on advocacy, it is a community of passionate, knowledgeable, and dedicated professionals who come together to support one another, share ideas, mentor future leaders, and help practices grow and thrive. One of the greatest strengths of AAPPSPA is the collaboration between like-minded individuals who are willing to openly share experiences, business strategies, clinical insight, and resources for the betterment of our profession.
Our members benefit from advocacy efforts that protect and advance private practice, networking opportunities with leaders across the country, mentorship, business and leadership resources, roundtable discussions, continuing education opportunities, coding and reimbursement updates, and practical tools that directly support daily operations and clinical care. Whether you are a solo provider, multidisciplinary practice owner, new graduate, or seasoned clinician, there is a place for you within the AAPPSPA community.
AAPPSPA also hosts an incredible annual conference that brings together professionals from across the nation for meaningful discussions, education, collaboration, and connection. The energy, support, and sense of community within this organization are truly unmatched.
I invite you to join us, not only to advocate for the future of our profession, but to become part of a strong and supportive community committed to helping one another succeed. Together, our collective voices, ideas, and experiences make us stronger.
I look forward to serving this organization and continuing to build a future that supports private practice owners, clinicians, and the families we serve every day.
