FREE Communication Style & Awareness Workshop
Learn your communication style:
• Advocating
• Controlling
• Analyzing
• Facilitating
Based on two factors:
1) Power
2) Emotion
These styles are based off the communication styles assessment Perceptive Communications®️.
If you’re interested in taking the full assessment to uncover not only your style but
• Adaptability: ability to meet others’ needs; communicating with others who’s style differs from your own
• Accessibility: “being there” physically, intellectually, and emotionally
• Negotiability: the degree to which you appear consider change
and oral competencies like
• sending and receiving messages…egos tend to get in the way with this one…
We think it’s the receiver’s problem if they didn’t understand what we said instead of taking responsibility for the fact that it may have not been communicated by us effectively…
Want to learn more?
Attend the free workshop next Thursday 12/15 est.
If you need an email template to get the time approved by your boss, DM me and I’ll send you the Google doc (complete with linked research to support your request)

Which ends of the spectrum do you fall on?…
Assertive ⬅️➡️ Receptive
Reserved ⬅️➡️ Responsive
There is no “right way” to be - these characteristics all have pros and cons.
Really, if the ability to fluctuate back and forth on the spectrum to drive more effective communication.
Which means, sticking to our preferred way could be hurting relationships and opportunities.
Next time you’re in conversation, see if you can assess where the other person is on these continuums then make a conscious effort to move closer to them.
Meeting someone’s conversational needs makes it more likely you’ll get what you need or want too!

If we want to continue the paradigm shift happening at work, we have to continue to ask the tough questions (and employers need to be prepared and proud of their answers).
The majority of us care about company culture as a primary determinate in our decision making.
We want to know how you handle performance metrics, ongoing learning and development, opportunities for growth and advancement, the package of offerings outside of formal salary although let’s be honest, value-based pay is where it’s at.
