GW’s virtual commencement is slated for May 15. Between now and then, we will be celebrating our GW Rugby class of 2021 graduates. First up is lock and former club president, Akio Kawasaki. Akio’s work ethic and leadership on and off the field has helped the club thrive over the past few years. Congrats Akio — and welcome to the alumni association!

Full time — GW takes their first defeat of the Fall against a well-organized Loyola team. Despite keeping Loyola under pressure all match and maintaining possession for extended periods, GW’s attack could not close out enough points to see them through. The club has a scheduled bye week before hosting Mount St Mary’s in the regular season closer on 10/26.

The club heads to Loyola this afternoon for their biggest league match of the season. Both teams sit at 3-0, and this match will effectively determine the league seeding going into the playoffs.
