The work we are doing is critical to saving lives. Deaths by su***de and overdose are preventable. Staying connected, informed, and diligent are key. Take every opportunity to discuss these topics with your children, it is not a one time conversation. They also need to know that just one pill can kill.
That Adderall to help study or the Xanax to help anxiety/sleep they obtained from a friend almost certainly has deadly fentanyl in it if didn't come directly from the pharmacy. Even the the opiates and other meds from the pharmacy can be fatal in sufficient amounts.

Substance use, including va**ng and other to***co product use, continues to be an issue for students and, quite often, for the adults around them. We saw unimaginable devastation from substance use disorders last year in particular. This is an industry that continues to produce addictive products and advertisements aimed directly at youth, with flavors like cotton candy, and claims that their products are safe. They are not.
Please take this opportunity to learn more about va**ng, the marketing, and what you can do to prevent a lifetime of addiction for your child and others.
Maryland! Please join us together with the Maryland Department of Health for a free parent webinar 9/20 on what you need to know about youth va**ng for fall 2022. Register now: https://bit.ly/3AgQ78o
