The AACN Student Policy Summit (SPS) is a three-day conference held in Washington, DC centered around nursing policy and advocacy. Students who attend the conference are immersed in didactic and interactive program sessions that address the legislative process, translating nursing research into policy, and policy careers for nurses. Student attendees visit with Members of Congress on Capitol Hill to discuss vital nursing issues related to education, research, and practice.
