Meet Cory Shay, Director of Military and Veteran Success at PennWest University! 🇺🇸

Serving military-connected students across the California, Clarion, and Edinboro campuses, Cory is dedicated to helping veterans and service members achieve their educational and career goals. His passion is simple: helping fellow brothers and sisters in arms succeed.

🏅 PennWest is proud to hold a Military Friendly Silver Ranking and is home to a chapter of the SALUTE National Honor Society.

Cory reminds us: "Not every veteran has PTSD, so stop walking on egg shells when talking to them."

Through networking, advocacy, and unwavering support, Cory and the PennWest Veterans team continue making a difference for those who have served.

🌟 It's NAVPA Member Spotlight Time 🌟

We are proud to highlight Tom Boscamp, Veterans Services Coordinator at in Fountain Valley, CA! Tom joined with a clear mission: "I wanted to make an impact for student veterans at the national level", and he's done just that.

For Tom, working with student veterans isn't just a job - it's his way to give back and change lives. Driven by a desire to make a difference at the national level, Tom has stepped up as a powerhouse leader within NAVPA. Today, he serves as a Region VIII Board Member, Conference Co-Chair, and Technology Chair!

Here's what drives Tom's work:

🏛️ Favorite NAVPA Moment: The Mid-Year Hill visits advocating for military-connected students.
🤝 Campus Pride: Coastline’s "Hope Heroes" program for justice-impacted veterans. (Bonus: Coastline welcomes ALL veterans and military families to use their services, whether enrolled or not!)
💰 Team Wins: Tom and his team brought in over $35,000 in grants, scholarships, and donations this year!
