Last day! It’s here! Big deliverable day plus the closing ceremony. The Fellows had to deliver a mock speech in front of June Shih, a former Clinton speechwriter on an issue they feel passionate about as they were addressing the RNC or DNC.
They covered such issues as the importance of supporting working class women; supporting small farmers; climate change, reproductive rights and health, civic engagement, unemployed youth in Nigeria, supporting female entrepreneurs and the need to invest more in childcare. And they knocked it out of the park!
Had one more virtual meeting with the State Department’s Office of Global Women’s Issues and learned about their Women, Peace and Security work.
And then we finally closed out the program with a ceremony to honor the 2024 cohort. Andi Parhamovich’s mother and sister joined us. It was a magical eve. Thanks again to the School for Ethics and Leadership for hosting us again and thank you to all of our workshop facilitators and site visit hosts for sharing your time and expertise. 🙏❤️
Congratulations 2024 ALI Fellows! Go forth and continue to shine brightly! ✨✨

Big day with a meeting at the White House Gender Policy Council’s Deputy Director Rachel Vogelstein, but started the day off with Mark Haas on how we put dreams into action in a tangible way, Mr. Haas has a taught such a workshop since our inaugural program in 2013 and is the CEO and Co-Founder of the Association for Enterprise Growth. We closed out the day with a Q&A with ALI 2013 Fellows Becca Weinstein and Bayan Bahloul and also a Q&A with ALI Board Member Erol Yayboke and then had taco Thursday to let off to steam! Final program day is tomorrow and it’s another big day of deliverables!
