Some things stay with you.

Big Mama’s Sweet Potato Pie.

This one started in a kitchen, not behind a bar. My grandmother Martha’s sweet potato pie, the one that ended every family gathering, the one nobody ever had the recipe for, turned into a cocktail.

45ml Bar Hill Gin
30ml Sweet Potato Syrup
15ml Montenegro Amaro
25ml Lemon Juice
1 Egg White

Bar Hill brings a raw honey note that sits underneath everything without announcing itself. Montenegro adds the bitter backbone the sweetness needs. The sweet potato syrup is housemade, Martha’s recipe, adjusted for a jigger instead of a pie dish.

Some drinks are just drinks. This one is a memory.

Remember how i got a box a couple of weeks ago.
Well life got in the middle. I sat bar five day and came back to a full schedule of things.
But finally I got to Crack this box open. Ahahahahahah.
