Register for Beginner Knit 101 Learn to Knit at Stitch DC. THree weeks. Knit a scarf and a hat. This class is three sessions. We meet for three weeks in a row at the same time each week. We learn the basics from how to cast on, knit, purl, bind off. We make two projects... a scarf and a hat.

Not in the class but want to make a hat this rainy day? Grab a US8 16" circular needle and worsted weight yarn. Cast on 80 stitches. Join round and k2, p2 until hat measures 1 inch. Then just knit every round until it measures 7 inches. I'll add decreases later today.

Learning to knit hats today in our 101 series. This is a basic hat that we build on and add cables to the basic pattern in our 201 series.
