Georgetown Opens New Center To Study Slavery and Its Legacies - Georgetown University Georgetown has launched its Center for the Study of Slavery and Its Legacies to deepen its research, public programming and interdisciplinary collaboration on the history of enslavement and its imprint.

Marcia Chatelain to Use Carnegie Fellowship For Book on First-Generation Students Georgetown College history and African American studies professor Marcia Chatelain will use her 2019 Andrew Carnegie Fellowship toward her next book, The Scholarship Kid: A Social History of Higher Education and Inequality in America.
