following The Way

03/25/2025

A completely new and revised version of "following The Way" is coming soon! Would you be willing to be a test reader?

I was fortunate to spend a few days recently on a writing retreat in an off-grid cabin and really focus on this next version of “following The Way.” I am looking for a variety of people who would be willing to read it in April and give feedback. It’s a fairly concise workbook with a series of short videos that go along with it. If you would be willing to be a test reader, please comment below or DM me. I am excited about what I have created and I know it will be even better with your feedback! Thanks, Rich

fTW Session 11 - Love Self
Last session we looked at what it means to “love our neighbors as our self.” This week we look at the meaning of the last two words of that command. For if we are to love God and love others, we must also learn to love our self. If we cannot learn to love in each of these three expressions, the other two will always and inevitably be incomplete. https://www.followingtheway.me/love-self

fTW Session 10 - Love Other
In these times of deep divisions among us, let us hear these ancient words and hear them well, for they are not peripheral but rather at the very heart of God’s call to us:
Love your neighbor as yourself.

fTW Session 9 - Love God - God as parent, friend, and lover
The Shema begins with these words “Hear, O Israel: The Lord is our God, the Lord alone. You shall love the Lord your God …” But what does it mean to love a God we cannot see, touch, hear, or truly ever know? As we move into the Soul pathway, which again is about our relational life - what it means to love, we begin with this foundational relationship, the love that exists between us and God.

fTW Session 7 - The Courage to Answer our Call
Our hesitancy in answering the call, encouragement from an ancient battlefield in India, and committing to all four paths of The Way

fTW Session 6 - Hearing our Calling - How do we listen for God's call, the difference between a vocation and an occupation, and five practices for staying open to our calling's call. https://www.followingtheway.me/hearingcall

fTW Session 5 - What is a Calling?
In a world with seemingly unlimited options, why do we still feel so bound? Do more choices truly lead to more freedom? Loving God with all our Heart, and submitting to God's will, can limit us in a way that provides true freedom.
