Scenes from South Campus Yom Sport; is there anything better than a beautiful June day outside, followed by snow cones? Special thanks to our middle school student council members who helped make this a wonderful day!

Grade 5's siyum this morning was thought-provoking and filled with learning. Students shared their divrei Torah with their families and led small group discussions, presented their monuments to unsung historical heroes and explained the research and process behind them, and learned from their new illustrated Pirkei Avot editions. What an impressive ending to their time in elementary school!

Last night, over 1800 people registered to join us to hear Rachel Goldberg-Polin and Jon Polin speak about Jewish education, identity, and practice; the Jewish values of chesed (kindness) and civil discourse; coping with loss; and more. Thank you to the countless people who made this event happen from both MILTON and our partners at Washington Hebrew Congregation --it was a thought-provoking and meaningful evening.
What has resonated with you from the evening? We’d love to hear your reflections.

North, south, east, west! In our calm, objective opinion, third grade is the best!
Our students presented the annual 50 States Travel Fair, where they shared a year's worth of research on the 50 states of the U.S. They also shared a beautiful map representing all of their states in 250 words to commemorate America's 250th birthday, along with a new prayer for the country written by the full grade. If you need a travel itinerary for the summer, this was your lucky day!

"Vienna waits for you..."
After 3 amazing days exploring the iconic cultural sights and rich Jewish history of Prague, Grade 8 finished their Central Europe trip in Vienna. Highlights included a boat ride on the Danube River, getting to know the students at the Vienna Jewish School, and visiting Bergasse Street, the former home of both Freud and Herzl. After reflecting on this meaningful trip, the students are en route back to the U.S. today! Swipe for photos from both cities.

Grade 8 said "Auf wiedersehen" to Berlin today as they embarked upon the next leg of their journey to Central Europe! Over the past 3 days, the students visited the remnants of the Berlin Wall, the New Synagogue, the Stolpersteine memorial (which they also cleaned as a meaningful service project), and many, many other historic sites. Stay tuned for highlights from Prague!

Our youngest students celebrated their Chagigat HaLomedim with family and friends yesterday! They were so excited to showcase their learning in both Hebrew and English (including sculptures, self portraits, and their Kindness Quilt pictured here), and ended the day with ice cream and a dance party!
