GW students: The Ultrasound Interest Group is excited to announce a virtual event happening on March 5th 2021 5-6pm. Thanks to the coordinated efforts from the pediatrics, emergency medicine, sports medicine, and interventional radiology interest groups, we have four speakers lined up across these four specialties.
Ultrasound has been growing in popularity over the years as a safe, non-radioactive imaging technique and has a variety of uses. This event is designed to introduce you to the diversity in its applications through case presentations and opportunities for Q&A. Please fill out the interest form in bio using your GW email to help with our planning.

Great podcast from EMIG about 🌌SPACE🌌 Medicine by one of my personal mentors Dr. Kris Lehnhardt.
A key conversation I've had with Dr. Lehnhardt was how NASA is actually using ultrasound technology to provide medical care from Houston, TX to Astronauts aboard the space station, and eventually the moon and beyond.
Thanks to Will Sweetser from the EMIG exec team for conducting this interview!

So excited for our USIG faculty mentor, Dr. Ogle, with the new release of her collaborative book: "The Chronicles of Women in White Coats 2"!
The Chronicles of Women in White Coats 2 gives an up close and personal view of what it's like being a female doctor in America. We look forward to reading this book and supporting our amazing faculty mentor! Congrats again Dr. Ogle!

Amazing time meeting the first year medical students at today's activities fair!
During the fair, we had 2 ultrasound images and the person who correctly guessed both images received a t-shirt.
The answers to the ultrasound challenge were: a kidney (image #1) and a gallbladder (image #2).
Congratulations to Deepak Iyer and Avi Wannon for getting both correct and winning a t-shirt!
