The Capital Futbol Club (CapitalFC) girls program started with the Red Stars 01G in 2012 and has grown to seven teams ranging from U9-U18. They play in the National Capital Soccer League (WAGS recently merged with NCSL). CapitalFC is a non-profit, volunteer-run soccer club that puts a high priority on player development. *CapitalFC is a Washington DC-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. We provide coaching and support for youth sports with a particular focus on soccer. In addition to sponsoring local teams that play in competitive leagues, Capital Travel Sports builds community by introducing local youth to soccer, instilling a passion for the game, and seeking ways to promote diversity. We accomplish our mission by providing
(*) financial aid for families to participate on sports teams;
(*) support of school programs, recreation facilities and equipment for youth to further develop athletic skills; and
(*) partnerships with other organizations such as the Sports on the Hill, DC United, DC Department of Parks and Recreation and DC schools.
