city BID a sustainable and environmentally-focused neighborhood, is truly an EMERALD in the Washington Metropolitan Area. It is a walkable, transit-oriented community that boasts a farmers market, two CSA drop locations, a community composting site, and low-water / no-mow landscaping. But, we can always do more. Stop by the Crystal City FreshFarm Farmers Market on Crystal Drive on Tuesday, October 18th from 3 PM to 6 PM for the Crystal Green Fair. Presented by the Crystal City Business Improvement District, in partnership with Vornado/Charles E Smith, the Green Fair will give residents, employees, and visitors an opportunity to learn more about area composting, green cleaning practices, recycling at home or in the office, car and bicycle sharing services, and alternative commuting options. This free fair will give everyone a chance to learn something new, so stop by and pick up some tips to help make Crystal City a little greener.
